How will you enter my house if Iím not there?

We clean for many clients and most choose to leave keys to their properties with us which we security code for your added protection.

If you hold the keys to my house who will have access to them?

The company director is the only person who will have access to your keys overnight. The only identification is an individual key code number, the reference to which is always kept separate from the keys. All keys are locked in a secure cabinet

How will our relationship work?

You are under no contractual obligation as payment is made at each visit. We would prefer to earn your continued custom based on our ability to meet your needs than rely on a contractual relationship. We look to you to provide a review of how we are doing and your feedback is welcomed at any time.

How does it work once I have ordered a cleaner?

It takes us on average one working day to allocate you a cleaner, sometimes we arrange this very quickly, but please allow up to five working days, just in case.

Who will clean my home?

Your home will usually be cleaned by one or two, fully trained, Shine·Clean·Pristine staff. For security and your peace of mind, our cleaners are covered by insurance. This insurance includes fidelity guarantee to reinforce the care that we take to recruit people of good character.

While in your home, our cleaners are not permitted to eat or smoke or use any appliances. Our training and working practices are designed to ensure that we comply with all applicable health and safety regulations.

Are all Shine·Clean·Pristine cleaners fully insured?

Yes. All Shine·Clean·Pristine cleaners carry full insurance cover.

What if something gets broken when my home is cleaned?

We treat your home with the utmost care. If something is damaged or broken we will leave a note and will contact you as soon as possible. We will make every effort to have the item replaced if it cannot be repaired.

How can I assure that my cleaner is suitable?

We carefully vet our cleaners. We require full work history, address and references as well as having to pass the training course.

What will Shine·Clean·Pristine do in my home?

Our free estimate carried out at your home allows us to better understand your cleaning needs and expectations.

In addition to any special requirements that you have requested our service includes removing cobwebs and dusting skirting boards, pictures, lampshades, knick-knacks, window sills, furniture, and light fittings and vacuuming throughout. We wipe cupboard fronts clean, wash floors, and cleanse kitchens and bathrooms.

At what time will the cleaner be in my home?

We normally work Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm. We are unable to give a specific time on a service day, but we may be able to specify a morning or an afternoon service. However we do make every effort to meet customer preferences.

Do I need to provide any cleaning equipment or supplies?

All liquid cleaning products and cloths are provided by Shine·Clean·Pristine. We use customers cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners and buckets, provided that these meet health and safety requirements. This is purely for hygiene and transportation reasons.

Do I have to do anything before my house is cleaned?

We ask you to spend a few minutes tidying where necessary. This will enable us to devote all our time to cleaning and will give you best value for your cleaning fee. However a tidying service is available on consultation.

How do I pay for the service?

You are asked to pay on the day the cleaning is done. Most of our customers find it convenient to leave cash or a cheque payable to Shine·Clean·Pristine Ltd on the kitchen table or work surface. A receipt will be left for cash payments upon request. Alternatively internet banking or a standing order can be set up. To fill out the standing order form click here.

What happens if my scheduled cleaning falls on a statutory holiday?

We will contact you to make alternative arrangements or you have the option to pay a premium.

What if I do not want cleaning to be done while I am away on holiday?

Please give the Shine·Clean·Pristine office a call giving us at least two working days notice of your requirements. Alternatively you can email us at freya@shinecleanpristine.co.uk.

How do I arrange special requests, changes or cancellations?

You can call the Shine·Clean·Pristine office, giving at least two working days notice of your requirements. Alternatively you can do this instantly on the Shine·Clean·Pristine website under the "Book a Cleaner" section.

I need a cleaner quickly

We can often get a cleaner to you within one hour if needed. For temporary cover or one-off cleans this is useful. However we could not guarantee this person, time and day as a permanent placement because this would require a bit more planning and consideration for who we have available. We would normally carefully choose a cleaner to match your requirements.

What is the minimum amount of time a cleaner can come for?

Once a fortnight is the minimum for a regular clean. A weekly clean has a minimum length of 2 hours per visit. A fortnightly clean has a minimum length of 4 hours per visit. This is because we will only clean a home if we can do it well.

How much time will the cleaner need?
